​Young Children’s Assessment and Treatment Services (YCATS)

To schedule an appointment, call Samaritan Behavioral Health at 937-734-4310 or 937-734-4311.
Program Participants:  Children 6 and under
This program is designed for children 6 and under experiencing challenges such as: behavioral concerns, including disruptive or aggressive behaviors, attention and hyperactivity issues, trauma, developmental issues such as autism or pervasive developmental disorders, and attachment problems.
  • Diagnostic Assessment
  • Individual/ Family Counseling Services
  • Early Childhood Group Therapy (at Elizabeth Place and in several community settings)
  • Early Childhood Day Treatment
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Infant/ Toddler Mental Health Services
  • Psychiatric Assessment & Medication Management (for children age 5 and over)
  • Education and Training
  • Mental Health Consultation and Prevention Services

United Against Violence of Greater Dayton (UAVGD)

Be the Hope. Stop the violence killing you, our families and our community.
United Against Violence is a collaboration of people and organizations committed to changing the culture of violence through the development of knowledge and skills to bring systemic change resulting in a safe community.
GoalReduce Part I and Part II Violent Crimes in designated Montgomery County neighborhoods  Westwood, North Riverdale, Harrison Township, and Trotwood) by 10% over three years (by 6-30-14), thus ultimately reducing group-member involved (GMI) gun violence.
Additional Goal for 2013-2016Reduce Part I and Part II Violent Crimes in designated Montgomery County neighborhoods (Westwood, North Riverdale, Harrison Township and Trotwood) by a further reduction from the 2014 goal by 2% over 2 years (by June 30, 2016), thus ultimately reducing group-member (GMI) gun violence.
  • Strengthen Violence Prevention and Intervention for Youth
  • Equip Parents and Families to Succeed
  • Reinforce Community Norms and Standards of Accountability
  • Educate the Community that Violence can be Prevented
  • Provide and Reinforce Positive Outlets for Self-Discipline and Public Health
  • Develop a Sustainability Model
  • Strengthen Violence Prevention and Intervention for Young Adults
